Then again, I do love them.

So, while men might not be completely necessary to the female gender, I still don't know what I'd do without them, especially the sweet ones. :-)

With love,

Are men really necessary to us anymore?

So, I've put aside my financial issues for a while to focus on the very unoriginal, yet universal topic of men.

In my opinion, men may not be necessary to the female gender anymore. Ever since women started earning their own salaries, getting their Ph.D's, and becoming artificially inseminated, men just don't seem to be a such a commodity anymore.

But then, this whole "feelings" thing continues to get in the way. Damn. Maybe it's some sort of left over emotions that women did need back in the day when men where necessary, but now they just linger, they become left overs like eyebrows or leg hair.

So what is a modern girl to do with these feelings? Is it actually LOVE or just left overs from when we needed men? Sure it's easier to run a family with an extra person, but many families today are run just fine with single mothers and extended family.

I think women get themselves into trouble a lot because of this, especially when it comes to marriage.

Any thoughts? Sure love and attraction are swell, but are we just kidding ourselves?

Until next time,
Steph

Money, money everywhere and not a cent to spend

Well, hello cyberspace folks!

Considering I am not on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, or any other social networking site, this blog thing is kind of a new and different experience for me, but I have the urge, so I'm gonna go with it.

I have a question for you folks out there: I am currently a middle class 26 year-old female who lives on her own and has a decent, but certainly not fantastic paying job. I am in the field of education which I love, but I have gotten myself into some considerable debt. This is funny to me because I am not the kind of girl who goes shopping in malls or has to buy a new pair of shoes every week. In fact, I live quite modestly and have very simple pleasures. But I have come to find that it is considerably difficult to live in this very consumerist country without spending money on something every day.

So here is my question to you all out there - do you have any tips for a simple gal like me to save money on things she has to buy each day/week/month/year? I have already moved into a much smaller, dinkier place to save some cash on rent.

Thank you for all of your advice!

Peace and light,
Steph
